GigMuse Terms of Service
These terms outline how artists and organizers collaborate on GigMuse, including expectations around bookings, payments, cancellations, and platform safety. We keep the language human and the rules focused on protecting everyone involved in a live event.
Platform and product scope
GigMuse is launching as a staged booking marketplace and workflow tool for discovery, negotiation, booking records, contracts, and the 5% booking confirmation fee workflow.
GigMuse is not a talent agency, not an agent-of-record, and not a performance guarantor. The long-term product direction is a full paid booking marketplace, but that broader protection applies only when a booking is explicitly marked as in-platform paid and protected.
Booking commitments
When a booking is confirmed, both parties agree to the negotiated scope, fee, and timing. GigMuse keeps a record of offers, contract terms, and approvals to reduce ambiguity and protect your time.
Delivery responsibility
- The artist owns performance delivery, including showing up prepared for the agreed scope, timing, and contract terms.
- The organizer owns event readiness, venue access, production readiness, and off-platform payment obligations agreed with the artist.
- GigMuse owns platform workflow, booking records, confirmation-fee checkout, audit history, replacement-credit rules, and support-review boundaries.
- Artists and organizers remain responsible for reviewing the booking terms they accept and for resolving off-platform obligations that GigMuse does not collect.
Payments & cancellations
Payment schedules, contract deposits, and cancellation windows are surfaced during the booking flow. Artist performance fees, deposits, and cancellation obligations remain governed by the booking terms or contract between the artist and organizer. GigMuse records booking activity and uses trusted payment providers, but does not store full payment details or resolve disputes through the self-service cancellation workflow.
The 5% booking confirmation charge is a platform booking confirmation fee charged when an organizer confirms an artist for a booking request. It is separate from any artist deposit or performance compensation and is not automatically refundable if a booking is cancelled.
For initial launch, GigMuse protects only the 5% booking confirmation fee workflow, not the full artist booking amount. Full artist booking amount protection applies only to bookings explicitly marked as in-platform paid and protected after full payment, refund, dispute, chargeback, and payout rails are enabled.
This protects the GigMuse confirmation-fee workflow, not off-platform artist deposits or balances.
- In eligible artist-unavailable cases, GigMuse may provide a replacement confirmation-fee credit instead of a cash refund.
- The credit is not cash, not a refund, not transferable, and not a general organizer account balance. It is for one-time use on the linked replacement booking request.
- If the replacement confirmation fee is higher than the credit, the organizer pays only the difference. If it is lower, the unused remainder expires.
- GigMuse may deny, revoke, expire, or send credits to review for fraud, abuse, payment failure, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, repeated credit use, or material changes to the event.
Cancellations, refunds, disputes, and chargebacks
- Cancellation outcomes depend on the booking terms, the signed contract, and whether the payment or credit at issue was handled by GigMuse.
- GigMuse may issue or deny replacement confirmation-fee credits under the posted credit rules, but artist-fee refunds for off-platform payments must be resolved directly between artist and organizer unless a future protected booking flow applies.
- Disputes about artist delivery, event readiness, or off-platform balances may be reviewed by support, but support review does not make GigMuse the performance guarantor.
- Chargebacks or card disputes tied to the 5% confirmation fee can lead to credit denial, review, or reversal. Chargebacks for off-platform artist payments are outside the GigMuse payment flow.
- Artist no-shows or artist-initiated unavailability may qualify the organizer for support review or a scoped replacement confirmation-fee credit.
- Support review can consider records, messages, contracts, payment state, replacement eligibility, fraud, abuse, and material event changes.
Payout timing and off-platform balances
During initial launch, artist deposits and balances are handled off-platform, so GigMuse does not control artist payout timing for those amounts.
If a future booking is in-platform paid and protected, payout timing will be disclosed before payment and governed by the applicable protected-booking terms.
During initial launch, artist deposits and balances are handled off-platform unless a booking is explicitly marked as in-platform paid and protected. GigMuse can record the agreed terms, but it does not custody, release, refund, or guarantee off-platform artist deposits or balances.
Respectful conduct
We expect all participants to maintain respectful, professional communication. Abuse, harassment, or attempts to circumvent the platform’s safety features can result in account suspension or removal.
